The project, funded by NG-CDF South Imenti Constituency under the 2025/2026 Financial Year, will bring court services closer to residents, reducing the time and cost of accessing justice while improving the efficiency of case management.

The ceremony attracted more than 600 residents and brought together leaders from the Judiciary, the National Government, the NG-CDF South Imenti Committee and other stakeholders, underscoring the importance of the project in strengthening service delivery.

Speaking during the event, South Imenti Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Shadrack Mwiti said the new law courts will ease pressure on existing courts and ensure justice is more accessible to the people. Following the official site handover, leaders and the contractor conducted a site inspection before officially breaking ground to mark the start of construction.

Beyond improving access to justice, the project is expected to promote the rule of law, create employment opportunities during construction, support local businesses and contribute to the socio-economic development of the constituency.

The groundbreaking of the Igoji Law Courts reflects NG-CDF’s continued commitment to investing in projects that enhance public service delivery and improve the quality of life for communities across the country.
